hhvm-dev software package provides HipHop Virtual Machine, a JIT replacement for PHP - development files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hhvm-dev
hhvm-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hhvm-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hhvm-dev *
You will get with hhvm-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
