hexchat-indicator software package provides Hexchat Indicator Plugin, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hexchat-indicator
hexchat-indicator is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hexchat-indicator package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hexchat-indicator *
You will get with hexchat-indicator package name, version, architecture and description in a table
