hdate software package provides Provides the hcal and hdate binaries that help use hebrew dates, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hdate
hdate is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hdate package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hdate *
You will get with hdate package name, version, architecture and description in a table
