hdapsd software package provides HDAPS daemon for various laptops with motion sensors, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hdapsd
hdapsd is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hdapsd package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hdapsd *
You will get with hdapsd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
