gupnp-dlna-tools software package provides GObject-based library for GUPnP DLNA (tools), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gupnp-dlna-tools
gupnp-dlna-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gupnp-dlna-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gupnp-dlna-tools *
You will get with gupnp-dlna-tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
