grml-debootstrap software package provides wrapper around debootstrap for installing pure Debian, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install grml-debootstrap
grml-debootstrap is installed in your system.
Make ensure the grml-debootstrap package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep grml-debootstrap *
You will get with grml-debootstrap package name, version, architecture and description in a table
