gretl-data software package provides GNU Regression, Econometric & Time-Series Library -- data package, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gretl-data
gretl-data is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gretl-data package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gretl-data *
You will get with gretl-data package name, version, architecture and description in a table
