gqrx-sdr software package provides Software defined radio receiver, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gqrx-sdr
gqrx-sdr is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gqrx-sdr package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gqrx-sdr *
You will get with gqrx-sdr package name, version, architecture and description in a table
