gosu software package provides Simple Go-based setuid+setgid+setgroups+exec, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gosu
gosu is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gosu package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gosu *
You will get with gosu package name, version, architecture and description in a table
