golang-protobuf-extensions-dev software package provides Protocol Buffer extensions for the Go language, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install golang-protobuf-extensions-dev
golang-protobuf-extensions-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the golang-protobuf-extensions-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep golang-protobuf-extensions-dev*
You will get with golang-protobuf-extensions-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
