golang-procfs-dev software package provides Golang library to retrieve metrics from the proc pseudo-filesystem, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install golang-procfs-dev
golang-procfs-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the golang-procfs-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep golang-procfs-dev *
You will get with golang-procfs-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
