golang-github-mitchellh-go-vnc software package provides VNC client and server library for Go, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install golang-github-mitchellh-go-vnc
golang-github-mitchellh-go-vnc is installed in your system.
Make ensure the golang-github-mitchellh-go-vnc package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep golang-github-mitchellh-go-vnc*
You will get with golang-github-mitchellh-go-vnc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
