golang-github-hashicorp-member software package provides Golang package for gossip based membership and failure detection, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install golang-github-hashicorp-member
golang-github-hashicorp-member is installed in your system.
Make ensure the golang-github-hashicorp-member package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep golang-github-hashicorp-member*
You will get with golang-github-hashicorp-member package name, version, architecture and description in a table
