gnukhata-core-engine software package provides Free Accounting Software (Core Engine), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnukhata-core-engine
gnukhata-core-engine is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnukhata-core-engine package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnukhata-core-engine *
You will get with gnukhata-core-engine package name, version, architecture and description in a table
