gnome-devel-docs software package provides GNOME developer documentation, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnome-devel-docs
gnome-devel-docs is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnome-devel-docs package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnome-devel-docs *
You will get with gnome-devel-docs package name, version, architecture and description in a table
