gmt-gshhg software package provides Global Self-consistent Hierarchical High-resolution Geography (GSHHG), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gmt-gshhg
gmt-gshhg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gmt-gshhg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gmt-gshhg *
You will get with gmt-gshhg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
