gmerlin-plugins-base software package provides gmerlin plugins from the base set, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gmerlin-plugins-base
gmerlin-plugins-base is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gmerlin-plugins-base package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gmerlin-plugins-base *
You will get with gmerlin-plugins-base package name, version, architecture and description in a table
