gkrellm-gkrellmpc software package provides GKrellM plugin for controlling MPD, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gkrellm-gkrellmpc
gkrellm-gkrellmpc is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gkrellm-gkrellmpc package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gkrellm-gkrellmpc *
You will get with gkrellm-gkrellmpc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
