gis-statistics software package provides Statistics with geographical data, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gis-statistics
gis-statistics is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gis-statistics package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gis-statistics *
You will get with gis-statistics package name, version, architecture and description in a table
