ghp-import software package provides Easily import docs to your gh-pages branch, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ghp-import
ghp-import is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ghp-import package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ghp-import *
You will get with ghp-import package name, version, architecture and description in a table
