ghc-prof software package provides Profiling libraries for the Glasgow Haskell Compilation system, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ghc-prof
ghc-prof is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ghc-prof package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ghc-prof *
You will get with ghc-prof package name, version, architecture and description in a table
