ghc-mod-el software package provides Happy Haskell programming with Emacs, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ghc-mod-el
ghc-mod-el is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ghc-mod-el package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ghc-mod-el *
You will get with ghc-mod-el package name, version, architecture and description in a table
