gfortran-powerpc64le-linux-gnu software package provides GNU Fortran 95 compiler for the ppc64el architecture, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gfortran-powerpc64le-linux-gnu
gfortran-powerpc64le-linux-gnu is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gfortran-powerpc64le-linux-gnu package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gfortran-powerpc64le-linux-gnu*
You will get with gfortran-powerpc64le-linux-gnu package name, version, architecture and description in a table
