gfal2-dbg software package provides Debug symbols for the gfal 2.0 library and its plugins, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gfal2-dbg
gfal2-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gfal2-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gfal2-dbg *
You will get with gfal2-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
