gerris-mpi software package provides Fluid Flow Solver, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gerris-mpi
gerris-mpi is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gerris-mpi package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gerris-mpi *
You will get with gerris-mpi package name, version, architecture and description in a table
