gdc-5-sparc64-linux-gnu software package provides GNU D compiler (version 2), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gdc-5-sparc64-linux-gnu
gdc-5-sparc64-linux-gnu is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gdc-5-sparc64-linux-gnu package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gdc-5-sparc64-linux-gnu *
You will get with gdc-5-sparc64-linux-gnu package name, version, architecture and description in a table
