gccgo-multilib-powerpc64-linux software package provides Go compiler (based on GCC) for the ppc64 architecture, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gccgo-multilib-powerpc64-linux
gccgo-multilib-powerpc64-linux is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gccgo-multilib-powerpc64-linux package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gccgo-multilib-powerpc64-linux*
You will get with gccgo-multilib-powerpc64-linux package name, version, architecture and description in a table
