gcc-4.8-powerpc64le-linux-gnu- software package provides GCC, the GNU Compiler Collection (base package), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gcc-4.8-powerpc64le-linux-gnu-
gcc-4.8-powerpc64le-linux-gnu- is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gcc-4.8-powerpc64le-linux-gnu- package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gcc-4.8-powerpc64le-linux-gnu-*
You will get with gcc-4.8-powerpc64le-linux-gnu- package name, version, architecture and description in a table
