freeipmi-bmc-watchdog software package provides GNU implementation of the IPMI protocol - BMC watchdog, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install freeipmi-bmc-watchdog
freeipmi-bmc-watchdog is installed in your system.
Make ensure the freeipmi-bmc-watchdog package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep freeipmi-bmc-watchdog *
You will get with freeipmi-bmc-watchdog package name, version, architecture and description in a table
