fonts-thai-tlwg software package provides Thai fonts maintained by TLWG (metapackage), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-thai-tlwg
fonts-thai-tlwg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-thai-tlwg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-thai-tlwg *
You will get with fonts-thai-tlwg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
