fonts-sil-lateef software package provides OpenType Arabic font for Sindhi and other languages of South Asia, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-sil-lateef
fonts-sil-lateef is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-sil-lateef package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-sil-lateef *
You will get with fonts-sil-lateef package name, version, architecture and description in a table
