fonts-sil-gentiumplus software package provides extended smart font family for Latin, Greek and Cyrillic, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-sil-gentiumplus
fonts-sil-gentiumplus is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-sil-gentiumplus package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-sil-gentiumplus *
You will get with fonts-sil-gentiumplus package name, version, architecture and description in a table
