fonts-materialdesignicons-webf software package provides font containing Material Design Icons, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-materialdesignicons-webf
fonts-materialdesignicons-webf is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-materialdesignicons-webf package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-materialdesignicons-webf*
You will get with fonts-materialdesignicons-webf package name, version, architecture and description in a table
