fl-cow software package provides copy-on-write utility, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fl-cow
fl-cow is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fl-cow package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fl-cow *
You will get with fl-cow package name, version, architecture and description in a table
