firebird2.5-classic-dbg software package provides collected debug symbols for firebird2.5-classic and -superclassic, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install firebird2.5-classic-dbg
firebird2.5-classic-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the firebird2.5-classic-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep firebird2.5-classic-dbg *
You will get with firebird2.5-classic-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
