festival-hi software package provides festival text to speech synthesizer for Hindi language, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install festival-hi
festival-hi is installed in your system.
Make ensure the festival-hi package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep festival-hi *
You will get with festival-hi package name, version, architecture and description in a table
