fdpowermon software package provides simple battery power monitor for laptops with ACPI, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fdpowermon
fdpowermon is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fdpowermon package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fdpowermon *
You will get with fdpowermon package name, version, architecture and description in a table
