fcitx-ui-classic software package provides Flexible Input Method Framework - Classic user interface, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fcitx-ui-classic
fcitx-ui-classic is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fcitx-ui-classic package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fcitx-ui-classic *
You will get with fcitx-ui-classic package name, version, architecture and description in a table
