fcitx-libs-gclient software package provides transitional dummy package, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fcitx-libs-gclient
fcitx-libs-gclient is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fcitx-libs-gclient package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fcitx-libs-gclient *
You will get with fcitx-libs-gclient package name, version, architecture and description in a table
