How to Install fastqc software package in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus)

fastqc software package provides quality control for high throughput sequence data, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install fastqc

fastqc is installed in your system.

Make ensure the fastqc package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fastqc *

You will get with fastqc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
