espeakedit software package provides Multi-lingual software speech synthesizer - editor, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install espeakedit
espeakedit is installed in your system.
Make ensure the espeakedit package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep espeakedit *
You will get with espeakedit package name, version, architecture and description in a table
