espeak-dbg software package provides Multi-lingual software speech synthesizer: debugging symbols, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install espeak-dbg
espeak-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the espeak-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep espeak-dbg *
You will get with espeak-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
