eso-midas software package provides European Southern Observatory Munich Image Data Analysis System, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install eso-midas
eso-midas is installed in your system.
Make ensure the eso-midas package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep eso-midas *
You will get with eso-midas package name, version, architecture and description in a table
