erlang-esdl software package provides Erlang bindings to the Simple Direct Media Library, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install erlang-esdl
erlang-esdl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the erlang-esdl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep erlang-esdl *
You will get with erlang-esdl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
