How to Install elpa-magit software package in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus)

elpa-magit software package provides Emacs interface for Git, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install elpa-magit

elpa-magit is installed in your system.

Make ensure the elpa-magit package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep elpa-magit *

You will get with elpa-magit package name, version, architecture and description in a table
