elk-lapw software package provides All-Electron Density-Functional Electronic Structure Code, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install elk-lapw
elk-lapw is installed in your system.
Make ensure the elk-lapw package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep elk-lapw *
You will get with elk-lapw package name, version, architecture and description in a table
