ejabberd-mod-webpresence software package provides allows any local ejabberd user to publish his presence information, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ejabberd-mod-webpresence
ejabberd-mod-webpresence is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ejabberd-mod-webpresence package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ejabberd-mod-webpresence *
You will get with ejabberd-mod-webpresence package name, version, architecture and description in a table
