How to Install eclipse software package in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus)

eclipse software package provides Extensible Tool Platform and Java IDE, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install eclipse

eclipse is installed in your system.

Make ensure the eclipse package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep eclipse *

You will get with eclipse package name, version, architecture and description in a table
