doscan software package provides port scanner for discovering services on large networks, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install doscan
doscan is installed in your system.
Make ensure the doscan package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep doscan *
You will get with doscan package name, version, architecture and description in a table
