debian-goodies software package provides Small toolbox-style utilities for Debian systems, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install debian-goodies
debian-goodies is installed in your system.
Make ensure the debian-goodies package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep debian-goodies *
You will get with debian-goodies package name, version, architecture and description in a table
